Biographies of the Board of Directors

Bob Guarino, President

Bob Guarino has served on the IIBA SVC board since 2016. He lives in El Dorado Hills and has worked at Blue Shield of California (BSC) for the past 12 years. Prior to that, he worked an Elevance (Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield) for 26 years. At Elevance, Bob held a wide variety of roles, starting as a programmer, progressing through increasingly challenging analyst and projecy lead positions, and eventually managing an IT staff.

At BSC, Bob has led a team of Business Analysts working on a major system replacement effort. Most recently, he is performing analytical and requirements gathering efforts for the Product Development Management team.

Bob holds an MBA from the University of New Haven and has a Six Sigma Green Belt.

Ana White, Treasurer

Ana has been employed with VSP for 12 Years, 10+ as an analyst and currently in management. This role allows her to work with and learn from many different business areas as she navigates recommendations for improvements within the organization.
 
Outside of VSP, she has been involved with Sierra Gold Soccer Club in Placerville, CA. She also assists local small businesses with business planning, website assistance, bookkeeping, and general ideas to improve business processes and best practices. Community involvement and providing opportunities for youth motivates her greatly.
 
Ana’s 4 daughters keep her on her toes and when she is not working or volunteering you can find her on the soccer field or starting DIY home renovations!

Traves Holland, Secretary

Traves grew up moving around the southeastern US, attending high school in Augusta GA. After high school he obtained his undergraduate degree at University of Miami (FL), double majoring in Business Administration and International Finance & Marketing.

He started working roles requiring analytics when he moved out to California in 2006 and continued ever since.

Currently, Traves is a Sr. Business Analyst working in the Analytics and Reporting department at VSP.

Steve Hewitt, VP of Events

Steve Hewitt has worked as a Senior Business Analyst at VSP for the past nine years. In 2020. he earned his Six Sigma Green Belt.  Prior to joining VSP, he spent 17 years with Sprint as a Business & Workforce Planning Analyst.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Human Resources from California State Sacramento.

Steve is passionate about leveraging his experience and skills to support the Sacramento Valley Chapter’s mission and vision.  Outside of work, Steve has two adult children – a Sophomore at Folsom Lake College and a Senior at Sonoma State University. He and his wife run a small business in Folsom & Cameron Park.

Pandu Gupta, VP of Education & Professional Certification

Pandu holds the position of Senior QA Consultant at ClearBest, a prominent IT consulting firm specializing in the public sector. With over two decades of invaluable experience in the IT industry, he has consistently contributed to projects within the domains of Life Insurance, Health Insurance, and Social Welfare Benefits.
 
Throughout his career, Pandu has been associated with reputable organizations such as Cognizant Technology Solutions, IBM, and Accenture. His professional journey has predominantly involved conducting activities related to System Analysis and Functional Analysis, showcasing his expertise in these critical areas.
 
Notably, Pandu possesses a passion for Excel-based VBA projects, leveraging his skills to enhance efficiency and streamline processes. As a testament to his proficiency, he holds certifications in both Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) and Agile Analysis Certification (AAC), further solidifying his commitment to excellence in the field.

Tejas Sriprasad, VP of Membership

Tejas has 16 years of experience as business analyst primarily in the hedge fund and banking industry working with developers and testers and subject matter expert in finance technology working in Agile, Waterfall and Rup methodologies, writing functional and non-functional requirements, business requirements.

Vu Nguyen, VP of Communications, Marketing and Sponsorship

Vu is dedicated to delivering quality technology services with integrity and reliability. He has 5+ years’ experience in providing technology and workforce consulting services. As a Technical Recruiter with Experis, Vu assists candidates in finding opportunities that match their unique skillsets. He stays informed with industry trends by participating in professional conferences as well as continually speaking with top talent to understand technological trends and enjoys being a subject matter expert in the recruitment industry.
His industry experience includes state and local government, healthcare, education, technology, insurance, manufacturing, and logistics.
He has a passion for people, technology and the development of people’s careers paths and delivering a meaningful experience for his candidates

Turab Saleh Fatakdawala, Volunteer Webmaster/Technology

Turab is a Senior Product Manager with PowerSchool. He has been volunteering for the IIBA Sacramento Valley Chapter as the Webmaster and handling all technology activities for the past eight years.

He is an Engineer, has his MBA, and loves the Education industry where all his work experience lies.

He actively supports Boy Scouts of America as an Assistant Scout Master and regularly donates with Vitalant.
